I enjoyed seeing the artworks and students at our annual Kaleidoscope Art Show in Cobb. Many kids were excited and I saw current students and former students doing wonderful expressions with their artworks. It's easy to get caught up in being busy, but this event really brought some renewed focus to the ongoing purpose that resides under the teaching. That purpose is helping people become better through the visual arts as thoughtful, reflective, and active beings for themselves and others around them.
I work with some pretty talented people in the arts. Every person has their own particular strengths. I wish I could spend more time with them teaching together, but our frequent planning together is certainly a helpful approach to how I operate in the classroom.
Great artworks, great leadership from Laura, great teachers, and most importantly, great minds of children finding their way...its a collective effort. Thanks for stopping by....
