We have finished studying the American Revolution and will continue learning about the growth of our country. In Science we are learning about space: stars, planets, the moon, and the technology used to study space. Our Health focus is on illnesses and how we can stay healthy. Our focus in Math is fractions and decimals. We have learned how to write equivalent fractions, improper fractions, and mixed numeral. We will be adding and subtracting fractions.
Our Reading focus is on non-fiction text. Each small group has read a book and presented information to the class. Presentations included a game show, time lines, and verbally sharing facts. We are currently working on a how to writing and will learn research skills to write a report.

4th grade will be presenting the holiday performance on Thursday, December 4th at the PTA meeting. If you can assist Mrs. Zurcher by helping to create the background and scenery please let me know.
We have been learning about simple machines, force, work, and motion. We will have a test on Friday, November 7th. Students have a vocabulary study sheet. Students should review the words daily.
