Welcome back!!
Our first week was terrific!! Our main focus was to increase collective teamwork. Our class is like a family; we must learn to work together and to be respectful to each other. The students have done a great job with getting to know one another. I am thoroughly excited about this class. They are an awesome set of students!
Agendas
Please make sure that your child has an agenda. It is an imperative tool for learning how to be responsible. Agendas are used throughout the 5th grade and throughout middle school.
Friday Folders
Friday Folders will go home at the end of each week. Please review the content within the folder each week for tests, class work, and teacher related comments.
Next Week
We will begin our daily routine. The students will have homework from several subjects on a daily basis (mostly math, spelling,and grammar). Next week we go to the library to receive our library passes. The students are expected to read daily for 20 minutes as an extension of homework.
Please check your child's agenda daily for updated information about homework and test
** Starting this Thursday the students will bring home a Homework folder. This folder is different from their Friday Folder. This will hopefully aid some students in being organized with their assignments.

** Every Friday we will have a spelling test
***We will have a test on pages 7-11 in the students' "Skills for Super Writers" (grammar) book next Monday
There will be a multiplication test next Monday 1-3
