Winter Celebration

Hello,

Our math test for chapter 11 was postponed due to the field trip and the leadership academy.  We will have our test on chapter 11 on Tuesday. 

The ABC book for social studies is due Jan 6th.  A rubric was sent home with the students.

The students also have a health project that is due next Friday, Dec 19th.  The students also received a overview of the project.  They have a choice of creating a time line about their life or a collage.  The collage should symbolizes how they feel about becoming an adult. 

The social studies test for chapter 6 will be on Thursday.  Farina's class will have their test on Wed.

Winter Celebration

The students are planning their winter celebration.  They have chosen to bring a book that is $5 or less.  The book should be wrapped.  Also, if able the students voted to bring in a canned good for the less fortunate.

A letter will be sent home Monday.

December 8th (field trip week)

Hello,

This Tuesday we have a field trip to the Georgia Performing Arts Symphony.  The students need a permission slip for this event.  Some student shave not turned it in.  If you see this permission slip in your child's Friday folder please sign and return on Monday.  The students will leave at 9:30 and they will return at noon.

The Social Studies ABC Book is due on Jan 6th.  The students received a rubric that outlines the expectations for this assignment.  I have strongly encouraged the students to put the information into their own words.  If information is copied from the web or from other resources points will be deducted. The students are also advised to draw their pictures.  The students may use the computer to find pictures; however, I would like for them to limit the amount of computerized pics.  They may only insert a maximum of 14 pictures from the web.  All other pics should be drawn.
