Holiday party information

Hello,

There will not be a multiplication or a spelling test this week.  We will have a test on chapter 13 lessons 1-4 on Tuesday. 

The Holiday party letter was sent home on Friday. 

The schedule is as follows for Thursday:

11:00-11:30 pizza (please do not send in money/ a parent has agreed to buy pizza for the entire class.)

11:30-12:00- Book swap (please bring a book that is $5 or less to school by Thursday).  If you are unable to do so please notify me asap.

12:00-12:45 Specials

12:45-2:00 crafts

Please send in your form if you will be present for this party.

Our math test has been rescheduled-

Our math test on chapter 13 has been changed.  We will have the test on Tuesday, Dec 15th.  Please study over the weekend.

Our winter celebration is Thursday, Dec 17th at 11:00.

Field Trip to the Youth Museum Monday, Dec 7th

Monday- Field trip to the Youth Museum

We will depart at 9:00 a.m., and we will return at 12:00.  The students are allowed to bring money for the gift store.  Please remind your child to wear his or her "4th Grade is Good" shirt or a Chalker shirt.

** Consent forms were sent home last week with information about an action research study, which I am conducting for the Early Childhood program at Kennesaw State Universtiy.  Please sign and return these forms to me by Tuesday Dec 8, indicating if your child does or does not have permission to participate.

The winter party is coming up!! Look for information regarding dishes and items needed.  Please contact me if you have any ideas.

Hello,

There will be no spelling or multiplication tests this week.

Tests:

Math-chapter 12 (geometry) Friday

Grammar-subject verb agreement/ troublesome words/ Wed

Science-sound and light -Friday

Students will be given a study guide in advance for the material

The students will partake in a field trip to the Cobb County Safety Village.  They will depart from the school at 9:00 and they will return at 1:45.  They may bring a bag lunch or they may receive a sack lunch from the cafeteria.

Division

We are working hard on division; however, division is often seen as abstract to many students.  If able please provide extra practice for ddivision at home.  This practice will be beneficial for the student aswe transition into larger numbers.
