Cobb County has introduced a standards based report card for K-3. In regards to music this means that I am no longer reporting solely on participation but whether or not your students are meeting the music standards through performance. I will be reporting each quarter on RHYTHM and PITCH for K-3 as well as LEARNING SKILLS AND BEHAVIOR. Third grade also will be assessed on ANALYZING MUSIC during certain quarters.
Your student can score the following for rhythm,, analyzing music and pitch:
3-Consistantly performs standard
2-Inconsistently performs standard
1-Rarely performs the standard
For learning skills and behaviors they can score the following:
S- Satisfactory participation/learning skills and behavior
P- Progressively showing improvement in participation/learning skills and behavior
N- Needs improvement in participation/learning skills and behavior
