Happy Thanksgiving

Dear Parents,

Don't you love this time of year?  Here are some questions to discuss with your kindergartner:

• Where does it come from?  (We've been learning that the food we eat and the things we use didn't just appear in the store.)
• What are our needs?  What are our wants? 
• How many coins are in my hand?  How many cents?  How many nickels? dimes? pennies?
• Who were the pilrgrims?

Tomorrow is a big day.  We have briefly discussed the need for a leader for our country and how we can vote.

Remember,  it is a student holiday. 

Here are some questions:

• What is a triangle?

• What is a rectangle?

• Say "cat". The onset is the sound "k". What is the rime?  "a" 
• What is dirt?

Sometimes children forget to bring spoons for the snacks.  I usually have some on hand but we have used them all up.  If you can help us replenish our supply, please send some in.  We also need baby wipes.  We cut them in half to make them go further, but we used our last ones today.
