Dear Parents,
Yes, that's right. There are just four more weeks of Kindergarten. About this time of year I start to feel rather nostalgic. Your children have made so much progress. I find myself thinking about starting all over again next year and how much I will miss these children. Today, Aiden found a button in the wrong drawer. He took care of it himself by putting the button in the right drawer. Next years' children won't know where things go, or how to get along or how to do all the things that your children have learned to do. I will miss them.
Very Important: Some children have missing library and classroom books. These books need to be returned before the summer. They will not get their report cards until these are returned. I have learned--and I tell my own children and husband--that if you want to find something, start cleaning up! We get so busy that it is hard to find the time to put things in their right place. But please start looking now.
Help your child get in the habit of keeping their school things in the same place. Our librarian recommends that as soon as your child finishes looking at his library book he puts it right back into his bookbag. You could also locate a chair where your child can keep things he needs for school: shoes, bookbag, jacket, ....
Songs Your child has learned some fun songs this year. Ask him to teach them to you. You might really enjoy singing "Tooty Ta" together. Have fun!
