We are busy learning the art of persuasion this month.  We have participated in The Great Chip Debate and have come up with our own inventions.  Both projects have focused on teaching the students how to persuade their audience.  Famous Americans and map skills have also been a focus this month.  Please make sure to  practice multiplication facts and read nightly.

The CRCT is coming soon.  We will take a mock CRCT test on March 23rd as part of our preparation for the real event.  Please make sure your student is present on this day.  This will be an important tool in assessing if your child is ready.

Next Tuesday is early release.

Welcome Back!

Please make sure to email or stop in if you have any questions.  My door is always open and I welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

Math compacting began on Monday.  You should have received a note last week with the name of your child's teacher.

Please practice addition and subtraction facts with your child.  They should be able to complete 100 of each in five minutes.  We will be working on this in class as well.

Please make sure to check your child's agenda each evening.  Review homework assignments with your child before returning to school.  This is part of our home/school connection.
