This will be my fifth year of teaching third grade here at Chalker Elementary. I have enjoyed teaching here because of the wonderful students, staff and parents that I have had the privilege of being around. Chalker is a standout school and I am honored to be able to teach here.
I have been married to my husband Bradford for four years and we live in East Cobb. We have a two year old chocolate lab named Bailey. She is a mess! I have an older brother named Trent who is a captain in the army and has served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan. My parents, Rick and Diane, live in Birmingham, Alabama, the town that I grew up in. I also have a three year old nephew named Quinn and a one year old neice named Caroline. Bradford and I are expecting our first child at the end of January.
I graduated from Auburn University with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I also have my masters from Kennesaw State University in Early Childhood Education and will finish my masters from Georgia State in Library Media this December
During my free time I enjoy reading, playing with Bailey and decorating. During the Fall my family heads to Auburn to watch football games. War Eagle!
I knew in elementary school that I wanted to be a teacher. I enjoy what I do everyday and look forward to it. In my classroom I implement Positive Discipline, where students learn to become responsible, respectful and resourceful members of their community.
I look forward to a great year and learning all about you!
