Spelling Lists

One of my goals this year to update my blog with our class spelling lists each week.  Here is the list for lesson 2.  We will take a pre-test on our words every Monday.  If a student makes a perfect score, they will move on to the next level of words (Fourth Grade words).  There will not be a pre-test on these words.

Everyone will take a spelling test on Friday.

WELCOME TO THIRD GRADE!

          Welcome to the third grade, and for new students to the school, welcome to Chalker Elementary!  My name is Sarah Adams, and I am excited to be teaching your child this year!  I look forward to getting to know you and child. 

           I am 25-years-old and a mother of a beautiful 2-year-old girl, Lily.  I graduated from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia in December of 2007.  I am originally from Kennesaw, and I am happy to be teaching here in my home town.  I worked at Chalker in 2007 as a paraprofessional for special education grades K through 5.  Last year was my first year as a third grade teacher, and it was incredible!  Teaching third grade is what I have dreamt of doing since I was a third grader myself.  I could not be more thrilled to do what I am doing, and I look forward to a fun and memorable year with your child!  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.  Thanks!
